今回は、関西国際学園 初等部 教頭の石川紘子先生のインタビューをご紹介します。
石川先生は、東大阪に初等部があった2011年に入社されました。
神戸校への移転、国際バカロレア（IB）PYPの認定、そしてCIS認定への道のりなど、学園の発展を最前線で支え続けてくださった先生の一人です。
長年子どもたちと真摯に向き合ってきた石川先生が、教育者としていま最も大切にしていること。
それは、子どもたちが何を学び、何を感じているかをよく観察し、耳を傾けることです。
子どもたちには自ら成長していく力があり、その力を持っていることを信じています。
「相手の視点に立つには、まず自分自身が満たされていることが大切」

Here is an interview of Ms. Ishikawa, Vice Principal of Kansai International Academy Kobe Campus Elementary School.
She began working for KIA in 2011, when our elementary school campus was located in Higashi-Osaka.
She is one of the many dedicated teachers who have shaped KIA over the years. She always led the way, whether it was changing the location to Kobe or becoming an IB (International Baccalaureate) PYP (Primary Years Programme) and CIS (Council of International Schools)-authorized school..
What does she always keep in mind as an educator with years of teaching?
It is to carefully observe what the students are thinking and learning. She believes that students have the ability to grow independently.
She also discusses how difficult it may be for some students to step inside someone else’s shoes unless they feel fulfilled inside themselves.
From those words, you can easily picture her paying close attention to her students as she watches over them.
